I am Chipo, the founder of Amandla Elanga Renewables, and today, I stand before you with a vision that has fuelled my passion for the past few years – the creation of a 20MWp ground-mounted solar PV farm in my beloved homeland, Zimbabwe. It is with immense enthusiasm and hope that I reach out to you, seeking your support to turn this dream into a reality, a reality that promises to leave an indelible mark on Zimbabwean communities and reshape the energy landscape. As many of you may be aware, Zimbabwe has been grappling with energy challenges for an extended period, casting a shadow over industrial growth and impacting the provision of education and healthcare. The absence of reliable and sustainable energy sources has hindered the country's progress. However, I firmly believe that by harnessing the abundant sunlight that graces Zimbabwe, we can contribute to a more resilient and eco-friendly energy future. In the heart of this vision, Amandla Elanga Renewables is diligently working on the development of a 20MWp solar farm in Bindura, Zimbabwe. This project holds the promise of transformative change, as it seeks to harness the power of the sun to provide a consistent and sustainable energy source for approximately 10,600 homes.

To provide clarity, let me emphasise that this is a for-profit venture, designed to sustain itself through a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) and generate revenue. However, to bring this project to life, I am reaching out to raise funds specifically for the crucial development stage processes. These funds will assist in completing necessary studies and obtaining the permits and licenses required to move forward with building the solar farm. But beyond the technicalities of electricity generation, this project aspires to be a catalyst for positive change in the local community. Our project aims to create employment opportunities for approximately 320 local residents. By doing so, we aspire to uplift livelihoods and promote economic independence, fostering a sense of empowerment within the community.

Beyond economic impact, we commit to reinvesting a portion of the project's profits into community development initiatives. These initiatives will span across education, healthcare, and infrastructure upgrades, creating a holistic and sustainable impact on the lives of the people we aim to serve. In essence, this project goes beyond being a power generation facility; it is a journey toward accelerating the transition to clean energy, paving the way for lasting social and economic benefits. However, this journey requires your support to become a reality.
