Help us bring The Summer Spot Day Camp back!

Hello, my name is Max McClintock, Founder and Director of The Summer Spot Day Camp.

We are grateful to the Village of Hillburn that late this Spring we were able to secure use of their treasured Youth Center.

Like many small businesses, we experienced significant challenges during the pandemic and need support for camp to thrive once again. We hope to continue to create a diverse, safe camp environment where kids can unplug, make friends, be in the care of positive role models and build a multitude of 21st century skills which can't be measured by standardized tests yet are essential for their futures.

Our excellent staff training program not only benefits the staff but enhances the children's camp experiences. We have seen over the years that the social and emotional learning both staff and campers gain become part of who they are and prove to be valuable in their work and personal life beyond camp.

Any money donated goes directly to the needs of camp including but not limited to: facility and administrative exspenses, materials and supplies needed for a variety of outdoor and indoor activities, special guests who provide enriching activities and other beloved traditional camp experiences.

Over my 35 year journey working with families, youth and communities, I have always tried to see the potential in all the kids that I was grateful to have in my care. I also see potential in the Youth Center.
