Help Us Build a Foster Dog Facility on Acreage

For the past couple of weeks, my husband and I have explored ways that we could expand on our dreams of helping more animals and providing amazing enrichment to the countless foster dogs who come thru our home.

Before I met my husband I bought my home in 2015 and poured my savings into renovating it to safely foster dogs. Every space of my current home has been planned in a way to efficiently help more dogs.

We have quickly outgrown the space we have now in the city and are strategizing how to move onto a more vast property with the potential to help many more animals. Managing the number of dogs we do is no small feat. But we LOVE it!

We have an opportunity to secure 2 acres of land at about $160,000. This land would be personally funded by our family for the future development of a dog foster wonderland. We have always been asked by our community about how they can help and funding this land through gifts and aggressive payment by ourselves on the loan would be the first step in building this dream.

Once our land is paid off we are able to collateralize the land in a construction loan to build a barndominium style home that is cost efficient but also includes a HUGE 30x40 shop space for current fosters. To give you an idea of how big our shop would be…we currently foster the majority of our pups in my 16x16 dog room.

With the construction of the home/shop space, we are easily able to fund thru the eventual sale of our current home. And each year we would continue to make improvements to this space for fostering dogs.

Once we have a dedicated home built on unrestricted land we can create our own 501c3 for the purpose of rehabilitation, trapping and housing foster pups. We also want to provide a dedicated space for the feral dogs who are not adoptable but we believe live amazing lives with us. Dogs like Leroy and Gabri are given the opportunity to live life on their terms ❤️

We are hoping that our dreams can be expedited by raising personal funds towards the payment of the land we will finance with my personal income. We have looked at our budget and are dedicated to living on rice and beans to expedite this dream. It will be so worth it to have the space we need to help many more dogs.
