Help Us Build a Pet Adoption Center!

Tax deductible
**Update: We’re excited to announce that Castle Valley Animal Rescue received a 2024 Rachael Ray No-Kill Excellence Grant from Best Friends Animal Society (@Best Friends Animal Society)! This has brought us much closure to our goal, but we still need to raise at least $1000 for the finishing touches!

Codale was gracious enough to donate the majority of supplies needed for electric work, and we are incredibly grateful for them and for Andy Blomquist for volunteering to do the work. We just need $350 to cover the remaining cost!

Help Castle Valley Animal Rescue and Carbon Cat Rescue build an Adoption Center here in Price Utah! The two rescues are working together with an up and coming boarding facility, BARC (Boarding And Rescue Center), to create a place for dogs and cats in need to find their furever homes.

Currently, both Castle Valley Animal Rescue and Carbon Cat Rescue are foster based. That means all of our animals are in temporary homes with a foster. While this is a great place for the animals to stay while they wait for their new homes, it limits the rescues ability to take in new animals. We can only pull as many animals as we have fosters for. Since fostering can be a long and difficult commitment, it can be very hard to find foster homes.

This is a problem that both rescue's face regularly. CVAR has the budget to take in many more dogs then we are able to, because we only have a few fosters available. With an adoption center, we can greatly increase the amount of animals that we take in every year. Not only does this give us more space to take in more animals in need, but it also gives the public a place to visit the adoptable animals, which has been shown to increase adoptions. More adoptions means more dogs we can save!

BARC is owned by the executive director of Castle Valley Animal Rescue, and plans to share their land and utilities with the adoption center. This has been approved by the zoning department, and all we need is the funding! We can't do any of this without the help of our amazing community!

If you want to see more animals saved in your area and have the opportunity to visit adoptable animals whenever you'd like, please spread the word on this project! You can make the difference we need to save them all. Whether its $1 or $100, we greatly appreciate it!

While a large portion of this project will be funded by grants, we will need some help from the community to complete the project. The funds raised from this GoFundMe will go towards the cost of the building, pet housing, and fencing for this facility.

More information about the Rescues:

Castle Valley Animal Rescue's mission is to help homeless pets by providing finding stable homes and providing resources, love and support, all while promoting education and humane treatment in our community. They are a 501(c)3 non profit, meaning your donations are tax deductible.

Carbon Cat Rescue is a 501(c)3 non profit who's goal is to fix, vaccinate, and find homes for as many cats in our community as possible. Both rescues are no-kill.

To find out more about the rescues or this project, you can contact us on Facebook at Carbon Cat Rescue or Castle Valley Animal Rescue.

We have purchased a building and are beginning to work on this project, but we still need your help to get it ready! We need at least $3,000 more to complete the inside of the building and the yard.

We will also be needing a lot of hands on volunteer work, so please reach out to us if you'd like to help with that!
