Who We Are

At Bridges of Love, our mission is to empower communities through comprehensive emergency preparedness and response initiatives. We were founded on the belief that every individual and organization can play a crucial role in disaster management, turning moments of crisis into opportunities for compassionate action and community cohesion. Our purpose is to connect and coordinate faith-based organizations and local residents with the resources and training they need to effectively respond to emergencies, ensuring that no one faces disaster alone.

When disaster strikes—whether it's a wildfire, flood, or earthquake—the strain on local resources can be overwhelming. In these critical moments, our programs become a lifeline. Bridges of Love operates two essential initiatives:

Faith Emergency Preparedness Initiative (FEPI): We partner with churches to turn their resources and facilities into community support hubs during emergencies. By connecting these faith-based organizations with community needs, we ensure that help reaches those who need it most, swiftly and effectively.
Community Emergency Response Teams (CERT): Our training empowers individuals with basic skills to manage their safety and assist their neighbours in emergencies. This training is crucial for building a network of informed and capable citizens who can act swiftly when disaster strikes.

What We Need:

Operational Funding: To keep our programs running smoothly and continue to serve our community, we need consistent funding for operational costs. Your donation will help us maintain our services and ensure that we're always ready to respond.
Training Room Rental: A dedicated training space will enhance our CERT program, allowing us to offer more effective and frequent training sessions. This space will be a hub for education and preparation, crucial for expanding our reach.
Subsidizing CERT Training Costs: We aim to make CERT training accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial situation. Your support will help cover the cost of training for those who cannot afford it, ensuring that no one is left unprepared.
