Hi, I’m Alex, and I run PawSaga K9 Services , where I dedicate my time to help dog owners improve their relationship with their dogs and offer a home-away-from-home boarding experience. Aside from my dedication to private dog owners I am deeply dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and finding loving homes for dogs in need. To support this mission, I am raising funds to build kennels that will primarily serve as safe spaces for rescue dogs, particularly those requiring individual accommodations due to behavioral or health challenges

Why This Is Important

Right now, rescue dogs who can’t be integrated with others are kept in separate rooms in my home. I rotate their time outside and in common areas to ensure they get exercise and attention, but this setup isn’t ideal. Using baby gates and crates to separate dogs creates stress for them and limits my ability to care for more dogs. Currently, I’m restricted in the number of dogs I can take due to my setup. The lack of dedicated space means I can only accommodate a limited number of rescue dogs at a time. This not only impacts the number of dogs I can save but also restricts my ability to provide the individualized care they need.

Building these kennels will allow me to increase my capacity significantly, enabling me to rescue more dogs from shelters and provide them with the safe, nurturing environment they deserve. A Success Story

Let me share the story of one of my clients, Bella the Collie. She was surrendered as a highly anxious and reactive dog who didn’t like human touch and despised other dogs. She lived with me for over five months while I worked on slow social interactions with myself, friends, and family, as well as controlled dog interactions. During her time here, I saw incredible progress, and I was eventually able to find her a suitable forever home.

However, her decompressing phase would have been much quicker and more effective if I had the option of providing her with her own kennel. Having a dedicated space for dogs like her would allow them to feel secure while they adjust to their new environment, making their transition smoother.

How the Kennels Will Help Rescue Dogs

While my rescue efforts are my primary focus, as I mentioned, I also operate a small business—PawSaga K9 Services, which offers private dog boarding and training. This business helps sustain my rescue work by providing essential funding. When not occupied by rescue dogs, the kennels will also be used to support this side of my work, ensuring I can continue rescuing and caring for more dogs. Your support in building these kennels will directly benefit rescue dogs while also helping maintain the overall operation.

A Vision for the Future

My ultimate goal is to have the financial capability to rescue as many dogs as possible from Ireland’s shelters. Each dog deserves a chance at a better life, and I want to provide a safe, nurturing environment where they can overcome their challenges without additional stress.

With the construction of these kennels, I will be able to give each dog the individual care and attention they need during their rehabilitation process. This will allow them to decompress, build confidence, and prepare for their forever homes in a supportive and stress-free setting. By expanding my capacity, I can help more dogs find the loving homes they deserve while ensuring their mental and emotional well-being is prioritized throughout their journey.
