Help Us Build the Future: The Nature-based Playground

Imagine a world where homes for all are built with sustainable, natural materials that not only actively reduce carbon emissions, but also promote local supply chains and circular economy practices!

We will build a Nature-based Playground at UN-Habitat’s 12th World Urban Forum (WUF) this November as an interactive pavilion that brings this vision to life, showcasing the potential use of bio-based materials in affordable housing construction.

This dynamic space will be a hub of innovation at WUF, where visitors can explore real-life examples of regenerative building practices, relax under a shaded cotton canopy, and engage with interactive elements like mapping boards and moveable mycelium seating. By supporting this project, you’ll help spark global connections, inspire new ideas, and pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future in construction.

Help fund this pavilion to demonstrate the power of Nature-based Solutions (NbS)! Your contribution can fuel a space where creativity meets sustainability, and together, we can shape a society that builds smarter and greener cities.

The first 4,000 EUR will go towards covering the cost of the pavilion's fees (such as USD 2.000 for renting the space), its ecological material, design and construction. Any extra money collected will go towards reimbursing volunteers for their expenses and time to manage the pavilion.
