Help Us Care For Charlie (TFL)!!

Hello, friends, family and loved ones.

As many of you know, my father Charlie has been in the hospital and rehab facility for the last five weeks. His progress has plateaued and the wonderful physical therapists, Occupational therapists and nursing staff at his rehab facility have taken him as far as they can.

In less than one week, they will discharge my father from the rehab facility and he will come home to Boxford, where my mother and I have taken on the responsibility of his full-time care from now on, with help from social services.

There are some things that my father will need which will help him have the best home care and will also help us provide the best care for him. A few of the items are quite expensive and not covered by their insurance.

My husband, daughter and I have moved back into their home and are doing our best to support my mother and father in every way. We have reached a point however, where we must turn to others and ask for help, which is some thing that is very hard for us to do.

These are very challenging times for so many of us, I understand. And it doesn’t really seem like the most ideal time to ask for assistance when so many are in need of so much. So I thank you from the depths of my heart for any consideration or help that you might be able to provide.

We do not know with any certainty how much time my father has left. Such is life. What we do know is that he has done so much for so many in his life, and worked so very hard to provide for his family… he deserves to be able to live out the rest of his days where he wants to be, at home with us and under our care.
