Help Us Celebrate Richard 'Redd' Berry's Life

Donation protected
I am very sad to share that this Christmas Eve, Rich’s father, Richard “Redd” Berry passed on unexpectedly.
This has obviously been devastating, Rich is very close to his father. Having to push through the holiday for two little ones, while coming to terms with loss and grief, has been very unfamiliar and challenging.
Being the wife of Rich, I have only known Richard “Redd” Berry for a short time, and we’ve become quite close over the past couple of years. Most would describe him as a quiet man, and in reality, he didn’t enjoy small talk. He loved having deep, thought provoking conversations. He was always thinking up a plan to elevate his life, and the lives of those he loved. He was loyal to a fault, and expected the same in return. He was a strong, stoic man, who never wanted to show weakness or complain of his medical hardships. I believe I am one of the lucky few, who have seen his vulnerable side. I watched the way he interacted with his son and grandsons, who he so obviously loved. The endearment he exuded on FaceTime, or in person was easy to notice. He had a soft spot for his grands and it was truly a joy to watch him flourish during this season of his life.
We spoke to “PopPop” almost daily, and the hole in our household and our hearts will be immense.
We plan on holding a service to honor “Redd” in Long Island where he was born and raised in the upcoming weeks. As many of you know, his health was on the decline for many years, and because of this, he was unable to attain a life insurance policy.
We are asking for any help that can be given to assist us through this process financially. Something like this is never expected, and the timing being around the holidays makes it challenging for us. Anything at all is very much appreciated.
Once we have the service details, we will share and invite any and all who would like to come and celebrate his life with us. Please pray for his family, who he continues to live through. His brothers and sisters; his children, Scooter, Messiah, Amethyst , Jason, and Taquaun, along with his Grandchildren, Roman, Jalen, Jaquese, and Jacquin.
