In Loving Memory of Lance Reid

It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our beloved grandson, Lance, at the young age of 24. He tragically lost his life on 1/23/25 in what looks to be due to a drug overdose.

Lance was the oldest of our 12 grandchildren with 2 younger brothers & a sister. Lance was a bright and charismatic young man with a contagious smile. He had a way of drawing people in – his easygoing genuine nature and love for dogs made him instantly likable. You couldn't help but be drawn to his warm personality and engaging conversation.

This loss leaves an immeasurable void in our hearts and in the lives of those who loved him dearly. And it breaks our hearts to lose another grandson in less than 1 year.

Lance's mother, Heidi & family, recently relocated to Savannah, Georgia, for work. She is now facing the immense grief of losing her son and the unexpected burden of traveling back to Kansas City for Lance's memorial and funeral. While Lance struggled with drug use over the past few years, he was making significant strides towards recovery. This tragic loss was unexpected, leaving the family unprepared for the associated costs.

During this difficult time, we are reaching out to our community for support in covering the unexpected funeral expenses and travel costs for Heidi. Your prayers are greatly appreciated & any contribution, no matter how small, will be deeply appreciated and will help Heidi honor Lance's memory with a proper farewell.
