Help us clear our Mom's medical bill and prepare her funeral

Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues,

Our beloved mother, Florence Auma Jabuyah, sadly passed away on September 8, 2024, after a serious illness in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Metropolitan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Without comprehensive medical insurance, the total medical expenses reached KES 1.14 million (€8,020 / $8,803).

Additionally, we are organizing her burial in her hometown of Kisumu, which is about a 7-hour drive from Nairobi, scheduled for September 21. The logistical burden of this is an additional heavy strain on our family. We estimate the burial costs to be approximately KES 1,200,000 (€8,450 / $9,266).

To help us cover some of these costs, we have set a digital fundraising goal of €5,000 / $5,523.

We deeply appreciate the pledges and contributions from family and friends in Kenya, which have so far totaled KES 1,141,916 (€7,983 / $8,817).
