Help us Clear Our Names Against Defamation by M.E.N.

Hi, as many of you are aware in October/November of 2024, Jordan Daigle, of Mountain Edge Nursery/Canadian Tree Nursery, served a number of people affiliated with the Facebook Group "Former Mountain Edge / Canadian Tree Nursery Customers Support Group" with court papers accusing them of defamation, causing confusion amongst his customers, a loss of his income, a disruption of his business, encouraging people to report his business as fraudulent, etc. In November 2024 four of the defendants retained a lawyer out of Salmo, BC to represent them and paid retainers with the hopes that everything would be resolved quickly. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. Jordan is representing himself in court and ignores any attempts from the lawyer to communicate. He, however, will provide just enough information when the judge orders him to so that the cases are not dismissed and he can prolong it for awhile longer. This has led to rising legal fees that for some of them are simply out of reach. One of the defendants sole income is CPP Disability and their current legal bill is two months of their income - they have the smallest bill.

This is where you come in. These people are getting sued because they were warning about Mountain Edge Nursery AKA Canadian Tree Nursery AKA CTN. They aren't any different than any other former customer of the nursery that joined the group except Jordan singled them out. If you can spare anything to help them cover their legal bills it would be so appreciated because even if they win in court, if it ever gets there, who wants to bet that Jordan would actually pay any restitution? I wouldn't take that bet!
