Raja Waheed Akbar Khan

On Friday 10th September 2021,at 11:30pm, my father Raja Waheed Akbar khan was wrongfully killed. My father was driving and then purposefully, a man named Perry Johnston was recklessly driving on the wrong side of the Hitchin A505 carriageway at 60mph and then fatally collided with my dad which left him with serious injuries and left him pronounced dead on the scene whilst his passenger mikey also left with serious injuries but luckily survived and was put into immediate care. As a result of Perry’s irrational behaviour,he only received a 1 year sentence which has been suspended for 18 months. However the case has been ongoing for 2 years and has been an on and off case although there is sufficient evidence which proves that the convict is guilty but because of how corrupt the law is, the case has been suspended on numerous occasions and to this day Perry remains a free man which is sickening as he deliberately intended to cause harm. Time and time again, the legal system has failed us and tragically me and my family have been disappointed by them. This whole time all we wanted was for our dad to be served the justice he deserves however the jury are incapable of doing that. My father was not just a father, he was a friend, a brother and an imam who was cherished by his community around him. But most importantly he devouted his life to his creator. My dad was a gentle, friendly and a loving individual. He always helped out those in need and put others before him self. With the help of your donations, we will be able to create a well in his name which will reward him for each time someone drinks from it. By the will of Allah, barakah would be given to his well which would benefit him even more and also make a tremendous impact to those in need. Knowing my dad, I know he would’ve been happy knowing that he left a positive impact in this life. We may not be able to change or determine any form of justice, but we can leave everything in the qadr of Allah and aspire to make the world a better place. “Nothing will befall us except for what Allah has decreed for us;he is our protector” Quran (9:51) All we can ask for is that you make dua for my father and my family and help contribute towards this as it will not only benefit my dad but it will also benefit whoever donates aswell as Allah will reward them.
