Update for Stem Cell Transplant:
Today is the Day; and God is good! Lori, Quincy, and Audrianna will be going to Boston today to start the next steps of Lori’s journey. She will be receiving strong pre conditioning chemotherapy followed by her Stem Cell transplant on March 19th. She will remain at Brigham and Woman’s hospital for about a month. Quincy will be close by, staying in a hotel and providing support and care for Lori while she is at Brigham. Audrianna will also be trying to provide care as well as travel home to continue to work and maintain their home. This journey is different than the last but is necessary to reach our goals. Lori and her family are very anxious but ready to take on this battle. Our Lori is a strong and resilient fighter. We ask that everyone continue to pray, continue to be hopeful, and most importantly continue to be positive. Our love and gratitude are always with all of you.
❤️
Update: Lori has finished her fourth course of treatment. She is strong and fighting this battle diligently. One more treatment to go!!!!! Keep praying!!
She has been discharged from Baystate Medical and is in the comfort of her own home. Her numbers are coming up slowly and she is being cared for by an in home nurse, her husband, and daughter. As we wait to hear when she will undergo her next treatments we continue to ask for prayers! Thank you!!
Hello, as we go through this tough time, we would love to introduce ourselves. We are the loving family members of Lori Cope. She was recently diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia on Monday 3/11/2024, just hours after enjoying a beautiful vacation in sunny Florida. Lori’s life has been turned upside down in just a short couple of days. Lori will be receiving extensive treatments in the coming months, which will be very fragile to her life.
Lori has been a nurse for 14 years. Her drive and compassion have created unforgettable memories with her patients, coworkers, friends and family members. She is the first person to help anyone in need despite what she herself is going through. Her husband Quincy, who has stood by her side every step of the way is a retired Master Sargeant of the Air Force and currently works construction. Audrianna, who has followed in her mothers footsteps, attends Elms College and will be graduating with a Nursing degree in May. Lori’s goal is to be there to see it. Audrianna has been contributing to this traumatic experience emotionally, physically, and financially as much as she possibly can.
At this time, we have decided to fight this battle together as a family. Both Lori and Quincy will be out of work until further notice. As Lori undergoes treatments her visitations are limited as her immune system is very compromised.
We ask that you help any possible way you can.
Due to this life changing news we are confident that all donated money will help go towards medical bills, groceries, necessities, etc…
We appreciate you taking the time to read our story and ask that any amount you’re willing to contribute is so greatly appreciated. If you aren’t able to contribute money at this time, we ask for continued prayers for our beautiful Lori. She is a ray of sunshine and we are hoping to bring that back to her. Although the battle has just begun, we need all the love and support we can get! Thank you!
