Hi, my name is Ben and I'm looking for funds to help my project: Third Space Artworks.
The project has a few aims and intentions:
- Create a space where people can try out a variety of art mediums, particularly those which have a higher financial barrier to entry, or require specialist equipment, like screen printing and spray painting - with a view to taking these events on the road
- Sell kits and supplies for those who try and would like to take up the new medium
- Host events (ticketed and free) both as workshops, but also themed events that have a party atmosphere.
- Host equipment and space that people can rent to work in mediums that might not be practical for their home or studio space
- Encourage people to think about and engage with social spaces
I already have a starting venue for events (which I hope to outgrow), and have held a test event which had positive results. With just a little bit of funding, we'll be able to start to build a creative hub first in Shropshire, then everywhere else we're needed!
The funds will be used for the following:
- Stock to sell
- Rent on the venue (1 year - £1500)
- Supplies for a future event
- Officially registering the company on companies house
The funding will enable us to get off the ground, and open up a pathway for us to not only get funding from other sources currently unavailable to us, but also work towards a sustainable and profitable business.
