PATHSDANCE is setting off on an extraordinary 10-day journey to Basel, Switzerland, to train under the esteemed guidance of our mentor in dance, Armando Braswell.

Born and raised in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, Armando discovered his true passion for dance at the tender age of 13. His passion was nurtured by his first and enduring mentor, Ms. Marcella Jones. Despite the challenges of his upbringing, Armando used dance as a springboard, catapulting himself from LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts to the prestigious Juilliard School, and eventually to stages across the globe as a professional dancer.

Throughout his journey, Armando has stayed closely connected with his roots and his mentor, Ms. Jones. Their shared dream has been to extend the same opportunities he had to other children from his neighborhood. This vision was rekindled in 2022 when Armando returned to East New York, Brooklyn, to teach a masterclass at Paths.

Today, we are seeking your help to turn this shared dream into reality. We aim to take a group of young dancers from PathsDance to Basel, Switzerland. From #BrooklynToBasel - Here, they will train under the inspirational Armando Braswell and immerse themselves in the rich art and culture of Switzerland.

Budget

Every dollar you contribute will go directly towards making this transformative experience possible including:

Flights: Round-trip flights for 20 children

Accommodations: Hotel accommodations for 10 nights

Program Fees: Training program fee including all outings and events.

Transportation within Switzerland: We will be on the move! A lot to see in a short time.

Meals: We work with partner restaurants to ensure a great experience.

Total Budget: $60,000
