Help Us Develop and Grow the Soundscape Community app

Soundscape Community, a globally distributed consortium of volunteer individuals and organisations, and through its unique 3D sound technology, it delivers a 3D sound map of the world! With its origins in working closely with the blind and low-vision community, Soundscape is designed to be used by everyone and delivers an empowering experience in support of independent and confident travel in familiar and unfamiliar places.

Soundscape Community is an open-source app, and our aim is to foster a community of developers and users to help us further develop the app and make it available to everyone around the world. Developing and maintaining an app requires resources and we plan to invest them in:

- Ongoing development of the app with the addition of new features and capabilities requested by our user community

- Funding the development of our current Android version of the app to get it to general availability

- Helping us to cover server and hosting costs

- Investing in outreach and engagement activities to raise awareness and grow our user and contributor base

- Providing improved help and tutorial content to help our users get the most out of the app

We are seeking to raise $100,000 and every donation, no matter the size, will help us make a difference. We have already seen the tremendous impact and difference the Soundscape Community technology has made to individuals through empowering independent travel and the resulting enhancement to the overall quality of life it provides, and with your support we can lay the foundation on which we can build and grow this impact around the world.
