Help Us Escape Gaza and Secure Urgent MEDICAL Treatment.

Hi, I'm Alaa B. Kalloub, an English language teacher from Deir El Balah in Gaza. My family – my husband Ahmed and our three children Ellen, Hamood, and Adam – have endured unimaginable hardships in this war-torn city.

I once had a peaceful life and a work that I like. I miss my work and my students. We are humans and we deserve to live in peace!

Me now:

For more than six months, each member of my small family has suffered from the scourge of war, living each day not knowing if we would be able to make it to the next one. I look at the eyes of my children and see the unknown! That feeling of being helpless is so painful for me as a mother and for my husband as a father.

Living in Gaza means living in constant fear, with no guarantee of safety or a future. Our children have lost their right to education and peace, witnessing unspeakable violence and trauma. Ahmed, my husband, battled and survived Penile Sarcoma, but now needs ongoing medical care.

Ellen, my talented daughter, has always been clever and talented. She loved her school and her teacher. She likes drawing and wants to be an artist. Unfortunately, she is no longer able to go to her school and her teacher was killed!

Ellen now:

My son, Hamood, has grown much during this war. He does not recognise any electrical machine due to the permanent cut of electricity. He thinks the fan is a plane, which he sees (the plane) very often in the sky, and suffers from psychological and multiple traumas.

Hamood now:

My youngest son, Adam, was born during this war. His birth conditions were too difficult. In the hospital, we were surrounded by shelling from all sides. It was hell!
Adam doesn't even have a birth certificate!

Adam now:

My husband, Ahmed, like me, lost his work and even his health. In 2022 -2023, he was diagnosed by Penile Sarcoma. It was an event that destroyed us from inside. There were lots of pain and tears. We suffered days and nights till he beated it. Ahmed went through lots of surgeries. Today, Ahmed needs a medical review and ongoing medical checking.

Here's how your donations will be used:

1. Escape from Gaza:
- Funds to pay the exorbitant fees demanded by Egyptian authorities for our family's safe passage out of Gaza.
-Expense details:
Rafah/Egypt crossing: (5000$ to 7000$ per adult) total 10000$ to 14000$ for both parents.
Rafah/Egypt crossing: (2500$ to 3000$ per child) total 7500$ to 9000$ for all 3 children.

2. Rebuilding in Egypt:
Minimum living costs: 700$ per month (total 8400$ for one year) used for:
- Temporary accommodation to provide a safe and stable environment for our family.
- Basic necessities such as food, clothing, and utilities as we establish ourselves in Egypt.
-Ellen's basic education.

3. Medical Expenses:
The rest of the funds will be used for :
- Ahmed's medical review and ongoing treatment.
- Adam's healthcare needs, including obtaining a birth certificate and any necessary medical care related to his difficult birth.
- Psychological support and therapy for Hamood to address his trauma from living in a war zone.

4. Transaction fees for GFM. The GoFundMe charges 2.9% for each donation.

Every dollar counts. Your contribution will give Ellen the chance to pursue her dream of becoming an artist, ensure Hamood and Adam grow up in a peaceful environment, and help Ahmed continue his treatment.

Please donate and share our fundraiser. Your kindness means the world to us.

Thank you for your support,
Alaa and family.
