Help Us Escape War-Torn Gaza and Rebuild Our Lives
My name is Hadeel Adly, and I'm a mother of two wonderful children, Abed Alrazeq and Yamen. We’re a family of 8 members, my two kids, my mom, my brother Mohammed, Abdullah, yousef, Aseel, and myself. Our journey has been marked by unimaginable tragedy and heartbreak even before the war started. It all began with the devastating loss of my beloved father to cancer. We watched helplessly as he underwent grueling chemotherapy, his body wasting away before our eyes. His passing left a void in our lives that we are still struggling to fill. After the passing on my father, I was separated from my then husband, which made me go through many trials and tribulations.
Despite the grief from losing my father, the burden of being a single mom and the already harsh conditions in Gaza, I persisted and held onto hope for a brighter future for my boys. I enrolled into the Education Technology and E-Learning Program master degree at the university of Al-Quds Open University
and worked at the same time. It was already hard enough for me to make ends meet, take care of my boys and deal with the pain of losing my father and my marriage. Then the war started.

The first week of the war brought devastating news of my uncle's house being bombed, resulting in the tragic loss of my cousin and my aunt's daughter. I have since lost many friends and family members. Fearing for our safety, we were forced to flee to Rafah, leaving behind everything we held dear, including my children's cherished belongings. I realized when I arrived at Rafah that I had lost everything. My home, my university, my work, our entire neighborhood and our memories and dreams. We left everything behind, except for the few things that we could fit in our backpacks.

My boys and I have been forced to live under very harsh conditions for months. I struggle to provide them with food, clean water and a safe home over their heads. The bombing on Rafah never stopped. We are constantly reminded that we could die at any moment if our home is the next target of the random Israeli bombardment on civilian homes. While being terrified myself, I do my best to give my boys hope and comfort at a time when there very little hope left for us.

Now, after seven months of living in fear and uncertainty, the IDF threatens to enter Rafah, putting our lives in imminent danger once again. This time, there is nowhere left for us to go. We can’t go back to our homes and if we manage to make the trip alive, against the odds, there will be no home left for us to go to. If we stay in Rafah, I fear we might not make it alive.
I am launching this GoFundMe campaign to get my family out of Gaza, give them a chance to survive and allow them and myself a future to aspire to.
Since October 7th all family’s savings were spent to purchase essential food items. With no source of income left, we he can barely provide the essential food and supplies to survive.
My family’s evacuation to Egypt will only be possible with the help from people outside Gaza. Getting through the Egyptian border is extremely challenging, with a cost of up-to ten thousand dollars for each person to pass (and the price is still rising).
Direct beneficiaries of the GoFundMe appeal are the 8 members of my family: My two kids, my mom, Mohammad, Abdullah, Yousef, Asel, and myself.
Please consider donating to our cause and sharing our story with your networks. Together, we can make a difference and bring hope to those in need during these dark times.
