Help us evacuate and receive a better education

Hello, everyone. We are Marian, Dina, and Ghassan, and we're reaching out to you in desperate need. The recent genocide in Gaza has torn our lives apart. We've lost everything we held onto, and we're struggling to find hope amidst the ruins of our shattered dreams. Our parents, Rania and Majed, have always been our rocks, working tirelessly to take care of us. They taught us to be strong and keep going, no matter what. But this war showed us no mercy. Our home was destroyed in an instant, and now we're left with nothing, trying to find a safe place to stay. Every day, the weight of our losses feels heavier. We not only lost our own home but also the homes of our grandparents, uncles, and aunts. This isn't the first time our house has been bombed; it happened before in the 2022 war.
But even in this darkness, we're holding onto each other. Marian, who's 21, is almost done with her college studies in laboratory science. She is in her junior year. Dina, who's 19, still dreams of becoming a doctor, wanting to help others heal. She is supposed to start her sophomore year. And Ghassan, our youngest sibling, is 13.
During the conflict, we sought refuge in a church alongside hundreds of others, clinging to the hope of safety amidst the storm of violence. But the horrors we witnessed there will haunt us forever. The loss of beloved church members and friends, the relentless onslaught of bombs tearing through the air – these are images that sear themselves into our minds, leaving scars that may never fade. Our mental health is suffering, too. We have little food or clean water, and we've been sleeping on the ground for months.
Your generosity can make a world of difference in our lives. Donations will help us cover the essential expenses of evacuating Gaza, including fees for crossing through Egypt and securing tickets to Australia. They will also provide much-needed support for housing, education, and medical care as we rebuild our shattered lives. Going to university in another country is our big dream, but it is expensive. Our dream is to find safety and security in a world free from the specter of violence, where we can pursue our aspirations without fear or constraint.
We understand that the situation in Gaza is uncertain. We'll use the funds to address our urgent needs if we can't leave due to financial constraints, safety concerns, or changing circumstances. We'll do our best to rebuild our lives for our family in these challenging conditions. Thank you, your support means more to us than words can express.
With warm regards,
Marian, Dina, and Ghassan
