Walk It Off Needs Accessible Doors!

Open the Door to Recovery!
For the past 12 years, WALK IT OFF has been a beacon of hope for individuals living with neurological disorders, including but not limited to Spinal Cord Injury, Post Stroke and other Acquired Brain Injuries, Multiple Sclerosis and Congenital Neuro-disorders such as Cerebral Palsy. We are a nonprofit clinic offering activity-based therapy to help people regain strength, independence, and confidence. Now, we need your help to move into a larger, more accessible facility to continue this life-changing work.
Why We Need Your Help
After 12 years of serving our community, the demand for our services has grown, and it's time for us to expand. We are moving to a new, state-of-the-art facility that will allow us to accommodate more clients, offer new programs, and continue providing high-quality care.
How Your Donation Will Help
We can't serve our population it they can't get in! To make this move possible, we are seeking donations to help cover the costs of accessible doors. We will need to install 3 entry and 2 restroom door operators.
Your donation will directly support our mission to empower individuals with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, and other neurological challenges. Every dollar raised will go toward creating a facility that fosters recovery, growth, and independence. Your support will help us reach more people and provide the tools they need to live fuller, more mobile lives.
Meet Our Clients:
Ashlie (age 28)
Ashlie has a spinal cord injury and has been at Walk it Off for over 5 years! She has recently taken up wheelchair rugby, and is working on single arm and overhead throws to help her compete. Ashlie has been working on her core stability and arm strength to achieve her goal of playing wheelchair rugby at a higher level.
Dave (age 60)
Dave became paralyzed from a spinal cord stroke 15 years ago and is one of our longest clients! He is now on a maintenance program and his current focus is on core and lower extremity strength as well as to improve his standing posture.
Charlie (age 67)
About two years ago, Charlie was working as an arborist and was injured on the job, resulting in a spinal cord injury. Charlie has worked hard to improve his independent sitting balance and dynamic trunk rotation to help him continue to work in his shop at home and remain as independent and active as possible. He can now achieve hip extension during his stands with minimum assistance!
Our Mission
At Walk it Off, we believe in the power of hard work, determination, and specialized therapy to help individuals recover after neurological incidents. Our activity-based therapy focuses on high repetition, targeted movements to stimulate the nervous system and encourage neuroplasticity, helping our clients achieve significant functional improvements. Whether it's, regaining strength and coordination or walking again, we work with each person to meet their unique recovery goals to help improve independence and well being.
Thank You for Supporting Our Mission
As a nonprofit organization, we depend on the generosity of our community to keep our doors open and continue offering hope to those who need it most. Please consider making a donation today and sharing this campaign with your friends and family. Together, we can make this move a reality and help more people reclaim their independence.
