After 31 long days… Mars has been found and captured!! Unfortunately, the upfront vet costs will be extremely pricey. I have increased our donations goal. Please consider donating to help cover the costs of all the necessary tests we must do to ensure his health. We also have to make the 14 and a half hour drive back to Mckinleyville from Salt Lake City. Anything helps!

Hello. This Labor day weekend, my mother, sister and our three dogs came to Nor. California to go to the Redwoods National Park for my sister’s 29th birthday. This weekend was supposed to be fun and relaxing, but it’s been nothing but a complete nightmare.
On Sunday September 3rd, we left our beloved dogs with a Rover pet sitter in Mckinleyville California, and unfortunately our Doodle mix, Mars, somehow got out. It’s not clear entirely what happened, but all we know is that he was absolutely terrified and did not want to be with the baby sitter. He booked it down the road and has been missing for SIX days as of 09-08-23. The lovely people of Mckinleyville have been doing what they can and helping us look for Mars, but unfortunately the financial toll this has taken on us is a bit too much.
We did not intend on staying all this extra time and have had to postpone work, school and other important duties. I myself have lost my job due to this nightmare. I’m making this Go-Fund-Me to help fund another week of lodging, food and gas so that we can keep looking for Mars. We love our dogs and Mars is an important and loved part of our family. We can’t go home without him… we promised him we’d take him to the beach and many more adventures.
Please help in anyway that you can! If you’re from the area, help us by keeping an eye out at parks, open fields, under porches and in your backyards. If you’re not from the area, checking online to see if anyone’s posted him also helps us immensely.
I thank everyone from the bottom of my heart who’s given their time and energy to help bring our baby boy home. I know he’s out there somewhere!!
