Help us Finish "A Seat at the Throne" Burning Man 2024
Donation protected
Hey Everyone!
I’m Chelsea Odufu, and I’m thrilled to share that my art installation, "A Seat at the Throne," has been selected as an Honorarium Grant recipient from Burning Man this year! My journey with Burning Man began last year, and the experience deeply inspired me, leading to this incredible opportunity.
"A Seat at the Throne" is a striking piece that blends tradition with futurism. Crafted from weather-resistant aluminum and steel, it symbolizes resilience and grandeur. Its large geometric shapes and towering backrest evoke a sense of ancestral connection and celestial grace, while the warm golden hue adds a regal touch to its allure.
This throne isn't just a sculpture; it's a statement. It challenges traditional societal power dynamics and invites individuals from all walks of life to take a seat, promoting a future of inclusivity and empowerment.
To make this vision a reality, I need your support. Your generous contributions will help cover transportation expenses to and from Burning Man, ensure the sculpture’s preservation post-Burn, and enable it to travel as a public art installation across the United States. This includes transport, storage, cleaning, repainting, and repairs, ensuring communities nationwide can engage with this powerful work of art.
Join me in making "A Seat at the Throne" a lasting symbol of resilience, inclusivity, and empowerment. Every donation brings us closer to realizing this dream and sharing it with the world.
Thank you for your support!
