Help Us Foster All The Kiddos!

Hello Friends and Family!

Many of you already know that ministering to the orphan through adoption has been a goal of mine and James' since we got married in 2019. We moved into a larger, beautiful home in early 2022 to have a proper space to house children. We have taken time to establish our marriage and immersed ourselves fully in the Word and our church community to make sure we are a strong unit, ready to parent kids from difficult situations. In April of this year, we decided to pull the trigger on foster care licensure, both to help children with reunification, and to hopefully adopt via the foster care system if the situation is right. It's been a process full of tears, laughter, excitement, and anxiety - and we're not even fully licensed yet! We are closing in on our licensure, and are so SO excited to welcome some little ones into our home soon. Most people know that foster parents get a stipend from the government while they have a placement in their home. However, the idea that foster care is free is a bit of a misnomer. It's considerably cheaper than domestic infant adoption or international adoption, that is true; but between training classes, background checks, fingerprinting, doctor and vet appointments, and other upfront costs, we've already sunk over $1000 into this.

And we haven't even furnished the rooms yet.

In addition, when a placement is given, the child often comes to you with a single backpack and nothing else. We will have to provide them new clothing and immediate necessities out of pocket, since stipends are paid monthly. The idea behind this GoFundMe would be to offset some of the upfront costs and have a little cushion account for those immediate necessities when we receive placements.

James and I are absolutely blessed to even be able to help children in this way. We do not take for granted the honor and weight of having such vulnerable kiddos entrusted to us, and will prayerfully and without reservation love each one. We want to show the love and joy and healing of Yeshua to these kids! There is absolutely NO obligation for you to give; please only do so if you are led by the Holy Spirit, and if it is not a hardship. We are grateful for all you contribute to our lives already by just walking through this with us!
