Help Us Honor Mykhaylo Konchak's Final Wish
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father, Mykhaylo Konchak, who left us on May 30, 2024, at the age of 82. Two years ago, our father arrived in the United States on a tourist visa, seeking refuge from the war in Ukraine. Despite his hopes for a better future, his immigration status prevented him from accessing any insurance or substantial medical support.
Our father had been valiantly battling cancer for 15 years. Two months ago, after the heartbreaking loss of his brother, his condition worsened. We did everything in our power to care for him—feeding, bathing, and taking him to various doctors. Mykhaylo was an incredibly kind and spiritual man who survived through cancer and the Covid-19 pandemic with remarkable strength. His deep faith and spirituality guided him throughout his life, teaching us to be loving and God-fearing individuals.
His dream was to return to his homeland, Ukraine, and be buried alongside our mother, his beloved wife. To fulfill his final wish, we need financial assistance to arrange for his cremation and to transfer his ashes to Ukraine.
We are reaching out to you, our friends, family, and compassionate strangers, for help. Any contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to honoring our father's last wish and providing him with the peace he deserves.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and generosity during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Oksana and Orysya Konchaks
