Black Rock Books aims to be a neighborhood haven for readers of all ages. Our mission is to spark a love of literature and community through events and a thoughtfully curated selection of books that will change with the seasons and appeal to a variety of interests.

As parents and locals, we envision Black Rock Books as a way to bridge the generational gaps in our community. We want to bring families and friends together over a good book and a fun time. From Saturday morning storytime pre-readers to adult and teen book clubs on weekday evenings, we envision Black Rock Books as a space to share, learn, and relax amongst the stacks.

We are calling on our neighbors to get involved by investing in the future of Black Rock Books and opening a dialogue about what you the community would like to see in this space. Our goal is to host a variety of events that are relevant and interesting to residents, such as family story time, book clubs, author events, and workshops. By highlighting local clubs and resident initiatives, we will promote togetherness and strengthen the fabric of a beloved neighborhood. All donations will go towards stocking a retail selection of new and used books, hosting events, and operating costs such as rent, utilities, and store fixtures.
