Help Us Fund an Urgent Root Canal

Hi everyone, Clifton Wright here (you may know me as Mr. Johnson or Clifton Lambert, or just Cliff). It’s time for me to do a hard thing and ask for help. I need to raise funds to help my son, Jamison, with a significant, unexpected medical expense.

A few weeks ago, Jamison was elbowed in the face at a show. The impact damaged one of his teeth, leading to a painful abscess that spread close to his eye. This kind of infection can become life-threatening if not treated promptly. We ended up in the ER when his swelling reached his eye, and the doctors said he needs a root canal immediately.

Unfortunately, our regular dentist—who accepts our insurance—can’t schedule him until May, which is just too long to wait given the severity of the infection. That means we’ve had to turn to a dentist who doesn’t take our insurance, and the cost is much higher.

The total cost for Jamison’s root canal is $1,600 out-of-pocket. Paying this will nearly drain our family’s savings, leaving us in a very difficult position. That’s why we’ve started this GoFundMe—so Jamison can get the care he needs right away without financially devastating our family.
