Support W.U.N food bank, baby bank & events.

We at the Swansea chapter of Welsh Underground Network have been providing a free weekly food bank that requires no referral and provides fresh, cupboard and tinned foods as well as herbs, spices and condiments to residents of Swansea who are struggling to feed themselves and their families since before Christmas.

Unfortunately, due to being entirely grassroots and self funded - we have had to halt this the last few weeks due to a lack of funding for the produce. This has led to us turning away or redirecting desperate people.

Some of you may have seen us at Fleet Street, Sandfields on weekends. We’d really like to continue this work and tide over during applications for grants to assist food, toiletries and sanitary products distribution.

Due to our no referral, no paperwork and nobody is turned away ethos (providing we have food to distribute), we are able to ensure that those awaiting asylum papers, low income students, the disabled, those on low incomes that don’t meet thresholds, undocumented people, those on strike wages and so on can access the facilities without having to face a stigma, or be rejected. This also includes sanitary products, adult clothing and childrens toys and clothing where possible.
