We’re Signe & Christian — full-time sailors slowly making our way around the world aboard our sailboat, Vela. We share our journey through honest, cinematic videos that capture life at sea, from remote anchorages and everyday repairs to salty sunsets and stormy nights.

Our drone has been essential in telling that story.

It’s how we bring you aboard — showing the places we go and the life we live from a new perspective.

But during one of those golden moments, just before sunset, we made a mistake.

A wrong setting. The wrong button. A crash.

And just like that, our drone sank into the ocean.

We were lucky to recover the final footage — but not the drone itself.

Now, we’re fundraising to replace it with a DJI Air 3, so we can keep creating the content that so many of you have told us brings joy, inspiration, and a sense of escape.
