Who this will help

Hi and hello. I have debated on creating a GoFund me for the last few years but chose not to because I have been working very hard to keep a stable home for my 3 kids. I had savings, I had options to open credit cards and I was on assistance from the government. I come to ya'll now in humility and vulnerability to ask for help. All proceeds will benefit the Rabeka Spagnolo family. I am struggling to make ends meet, provide basic needs for my kids and keep my house.

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Rabeka and I am a momma of 3. We enjoy being active and spending time together. The cover photo is of a backpacking trip we took to the peak of San Jacinto. Each of my kiddos hiked the whole trail and carried their own backpack! My kiddos and I have been through years of abuse and could use some help to restart our lives and thrive.

Why I'm fundraising

Our world was turned upside down when CPS and the police showed up on my doorstep a few years ago. As I stood there, trying to listen to what they were telling me, I felt a panic rush over me. They told me that my husband admitted to his therapist to "inappropriate" contact with our children. Being a mandated reporter, his therapist reported this to the police and at first Cameron admitted that it was something small and "not a big deal" or "an accident". But in reality I found out that he had been abusing our children from when they were in diapers. Cameron Harrison admitted to being a pedophile and instead of pleading guilty at his arrangement, like he promised to do, he hired a very expensive lawyer to defend him and drag us through over a year of the traumatic criminal court process. Because of this my son was forced to testify against his dad in court, furthering his trauma and abuse.

Cameron has locked me out of accessing any of our investments, refuses to pay for the registration of the truck that I am driving or put it in my name (as he promised years ago to do). Instead he hires an attorney that doesn't communicate with him directly, only through his parents and has stolen money (and forged signatures) that should be going to our children and help me run the household. Since he is in jail he has not been paying child support and his jail sentence is 32 years so I will never receive any financial support from him. His parents have never sent a text or call to me to see how they can help their grandbabies, instead they have aided and sided with a convicted pedophile and blame ME for keeping my children away from them. At this point I will not take any support or help from them because if you take the side of a pedophile and defend him instead of his victims you are just as bad as he is.

The truck that I was driving was towed last week and now I do not have a vehicle to drive my kids to school. Buying a new one is not an option at this point, the truck was paid off and I use it to not only take my kids to school etc but to haul feed for my chickens and furniture that I upcycle and sell to help ends meet. I have tried over the years to pay the registration and take care of it on my own but since my name is not on the title I have been told I cannot. So instead I have had to drive a vehicle around, hoping I wont get pulled over or

a ticket because I knew they would impound my truck and I wouldn't be able to get it out of impound. To get it registered and out of impound it is about $4k. I also have a short deadline as the tow yard doesn't keep vehicles longer than 32 days.

That is what lead me to start this GoFund me. I am completely out of options. My savings is depleted, my credit cards are maxed out and now I do not have a vehicle to drive my kids to and from school etc. l hired an attorney to help with my divorce because I was a stay at home mom and he took care of all the finances and bills so I didn't know how much money he was making, what our bills were and when they were due. I've had to unravel all of the taggled mess he created and figure out how to be the provider and mom and navigate through criminal court.

We agreed on everything for division of assets and even signed a paper stating who gets what. It should have been a fairly straight forward process but I'm finding out (years later) that the attorney I hired wasn't doing the work she said she was but charging me (about $20k) and I am STILL not divorced. I didn't have extra money to pay her and my children went without and I sold off as much of my belongings to pay for an attorney that didn't do what she was hired to do. She tried to put a lean on my house over $6k that I owed her (as well as $20k and "future monies owed" ) Thankfully I did not fall for her scam. It has been a scary time for us and I'm desperately trying to keep it all together. (Yes, we are in therapy and it is helping to cope and get on a good track).

I am grateful that I have a full time job, in the pest control industry and have been able to also live off of credit cards. The most frustrating part is that I make too much money to be on aid but not enough to break even each month. To make matters worse, someone in the state over paid me and now I owe the state over $5k with no way to pay it back. I also do not know if I will loose my home. If I do, rent will be 2x of what I currently pay (for a 1/3 of the space of my home) and there is no way I'd be able to do that. Options to move out of town and away from family and friend support are not a reality for us. I have been fighting so hard for so long and I am proud of myself for getting this far but I am in desperate need of financial help, to have my burden lightened.
