Help us get the doors Open at MEGA Texas Barbeque

Hi! We are Anthony and Tasha, the owners & minds behind MEGA Texas Barbeque in Fresno, California. When we first opened in 2013, our goal was to bring you BBQ. More than just something to eat we wanted to bring you a whole experience, similar to the experiences we have had ourselves when traveling the US and eating at some of the best BBQ spots.

Over the past 5 years we have been welcomed by our community, survived the Covid Pandemic and been able to cater and serve out of our small gas station location. Our goal has always been to take what we started and move to our very own Brick & Mortar location. We have hustled and prayed for this moment to give our customers & community a place to sit and enjoy the BBQ you have told us you love!

We are so happy to announce that that time is upon us.

Now that we have found a permanent home for MEGA Texas BBQ, this isn’t just a place for us, but a place for everyone! Our new restaurant is located at 3598 E Butler in Southeast Fresno, on the corner of Orange & Butler in the Winchell Neigborhood. We will have plenty of space for indoor and outdoor dining. This is one of Fresno’s oldest neighborhoods and just by chance Anthony spent many childhood years at his Grandpa’s on Gearhart, cutting lawns and smashing cans, not far from the restaurant, which makes it even more special. The space is everything we have dreamed of in a location for us. When people would ask ‘When are you getting your own place’. We replied - ‘When we find the right spot’. We knew looking at this spot, this was the one. We cannot wait to open our doors so that everyone can come with friends, family & co workers to enjoy good barbeque.

So far we have put our entire savings and some help from close family to get the keys to our brick and mortar. As you might expect, the costs associated with opening a restaurant is very expensive. We have started this Go Fund Me to raise donations to help get the restaurant open, ready and staffed by late November. The money we are looking to raise will help us to purchase additional equipment, staffing, branding and any other expenses for startup costs. With your help, we can open in a few weeks so you can start sitting & enjoying our BBQ fresh off the cutting block. All donations are greatly appreciated.
