Hi! Our names are Debra Fernandez and Roma Flores, and we are fundraising to get ourselves and our students Darlene and Nevaeh to the Freedom Writer Book Launch in Long Beach beginning March 26th!
Student authors from around the world are coming together to celebrate the launch our new book "Dear Freedom Writer"! We are so proud of our students, who were chosen to represent the High Desert in Southern California, and we want both of them to have the opportunity to join The Freedom Writers to launch the book! They have worked so hard to write their part, and deserve to spend these days communing with the other authors and sharing their experiences.
Writing this book was challenging and healing, and we are so excited to have this opportunity to join the other authors and enjoy the fruits of our labor. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and if you can't donate please share! We appreciate any help anyone is willing to give; no amount is too small to get our very deserving students to this wonderful experience.
