A Father’s Battle With Cancer, A Daughter’s Plea For Help
My heart aches as I share my father’s story with you. My father’s name is Clarence Mowrey, JJ to everyone who has known him. Tho I always got the honor to call him Padre!
Today, I write to you with a heavy heart as I share the news of my father’s battle with non-small cell lung cancer. My father JJ is a fighter through and through. Given that he is a military veteran, he is not one to give up easily, tho the cancer has metastasized throughout his body, into his bones, and into his brain.
He has shown immense courage throughout this journey, but the time has come for us to prepare for his final farewell.
As we navigate this challenging chapter, we are confronted with the financial burden of funeral expenses. While we want to honor my father’s life with the dignity and love he deserves, we find ourselves in need of support from our cherished community.
My father has always been a source of strength and inspiration for many of us. He has touched countless lives with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering spirit. Padre has always been there for anyone who needed to talk without judgment. He was always willing to help someone; he always said, "If I have it, you have it." This man has not only been my father but also a father figure to many others, a friend to all walks of life!
Now, as we face this final chapter of this profound life, I am asking for your help in giving him a proper send-off.
If you feel moved to contribute, any amount, big or small, would mean the world to us. Your generosity will not only assist in covering the funeral costs but will also provide comfort during this difficult time.
If you cannot contribute financially, your thoughts, prayers, and sharing this message with others would also be deeply appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for considering supporting our family during this challenging time. Your kindness and love mean everything to us.
With gratitude and love,
Nina Snyder

My father's illness has taught me about the importance of compassion, empathy, and the value of time. In life, we often take for granted the moments we share with our loved ones.
While my father's battle with cancer is a heartbreaking reality, it serves as a reminder of the beauty and fragility of life.
