Help Us Give Kam Yim a Proper Farewell
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family and Kind Hearts,
We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts. We lost our Mother, Grandmother, sister, Auntie and Mother in law Kam Yim on the morning of September 6th, 2024. This was so sudden and we were not prepared.
Kam was a savior for our family. She came to the U.S when she was in her 20's. She was a single mother of 3 sons and did everything she can to provide for her family. Kam was the youngest in her family but was the big sister to everyone. She petitioned her sister, brother, nieces and nephews to come to the U.S. for the opportunity to provide a better life for them. She never asked for anything in return, just for them to do better for themselves.
Kam never told anyone when she was sick, because she did not want to burden anyone. She had a major stroke the end of August. The doctors said it would only be minutes or hours for her to pass but she fought for 2 weeks before leaving us. She was a fighter!
In these times we are faced with the challenge of providing Kam with a proper farewell. We were not prepared with the cost of her funeral and memorial service. We unfortunately do not have the means to cover all the cost since this was so sudden. We are turning to you, our community to help honor Kam's memory and give her the proper tribute she deserves.
Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards covering the funeral and chinese memorial services.
Please keep our family in your prayers as we navigate through these tough time in our lives.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you for all of the love and support, compassion and generosity. It is through your kindness that we can find solace in honoring Kam's life.
With sincere gratitude,
