Help Us Give Maddie a Special Farewell

Hi everyone! For those of you who don't know me, i am Jennifer Hunter. I am one of the NPs that works mostly at the Ballston office. I have known Maddie since she was still an NP working with me at the Arlington office. She was here when i started and she took me under her wing and was so helpful when i was new to INOVA.

As we all sadly know, Maddie will be leaving us in just a few months for an amazing Australian adventure. While I am sure this will be great for Maddie and her family, it will be very sad for most of us. I am sure that many of you will agree with me when i say, Maddie will be very hard to replace (no disrespect to anyone applying for her job). Because of this, i think she deserves an amazing send off for all the hard work she has put in and the differences she has made for us here at INOVA Gohealth.

I would like to try to raise just a little money to help throw her a party and maybe get her a little going away gift :) I have looked in to a bunch of places to have the party and want to try to raise enough money to either rent a private space, or if the rental has a minimal cost, then to pay for food and drinks for everyone to have a good time.

I know this is not the most conventional reason to have a GoFundMe haha but i thought it was the least sketchy way to ask everyone for a small donation to make this event happen some time in the beginning of June!
