Help Us Give Mary Kelly a Proper Goodbye

Many of you have asked how you can help our family during this difficult time. Instead of sending plants and flowers, we ask that you donate to Mary's cremation fund. We truly appreciate your support if you have read this far.

Mary Kelly, aka “Little Mary,” was a mother of three and was loved by many, many grandchildren near and far. She would give the shirt off her back to a homeless person and take in stray animals to keep them off the streets. Our beloved grandmother loved gardening, crocheting, and OU football, to name a few.

Unfortunately, we lost her early, just three days after her eighty-first birthday on September 4th, 2024. She did not have the income to support herself any longer after getting sick in late 2010. She struggled silently for many years, and our hearts are shattered as we still mourn our mother Lanette’s (Mary’s youngest daughter) unexpected passing in March 2022.

As a family, we are hoping to give her a proper burial, as this would be one of her last dying wishes. At this time we are going to move forward with cremation. If you are wondering why… she did not invest in life insurance to help her family when she were to depart. So we are asking anyone and everyone who is reading this to please help support us if you can by 9/22/2024 as we are being charged a daily storage fee for her body being held.

She had lived a hard life but still did her best to be the best woman possible while filling many roles. She will forever be in our hearts. We love you, Mema!
