Help Us Give Matthew Foster a Proper Send-Off
Donation protected
As some of you may know, we lost our dear brother and son, Matthew Foster, suddenly on July 27th. Unfortunately, we don’t have many details to relay as we are awaiting the medical examiner's report.
Those who knew Matt knew him as an upbeat person, a good friend who always had your back, and a phenomenal wrestler. He was college-bound with plans to become an accountant. For the last several years, Matt had been struggling with the consequences of having had multiple Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBIs). As his mental health declined, Matthew increasingly distanced himself from family, refusing our help. While he wouldn’t allow his family to help him, we repeatedly attempted to get our broken healthcare system involved to no avail.
Family meant everything to Matt. He viewed himself as our protector. Everyone loved him. He was the ultimate competitor, a true people person, and an amazing brother and son. He had a heart of gold, and will be greatly missed.
Matt shaped me in more ways than I can count, and I am extremely grateful for the impact he had on my life. He taught me the definition of strength by setting an example; walking me through the most difficult times. As Matthew’s brother, it is my mission to increase awareness of the magnitude by which our healthcare system is failing the most vulnerable members of society.
We ask for any amount of donation you are able to provide to ensure that we are able to give Matthew Stephen Foster a proper burial and send off. Thank you all for your support and kindness during this difficult time.
