Help Us Give Mom the Fighting Chance She Deserves

Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out to you with heavy hearts but unwavering hope. My mom, Michelle, has been fighting stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized to several other organs for the past 5 years. The battle has come with many victories, but has not yet been won, and she needs our help to keep up the fight.
Over the past five years, she has been in and out of hospitals, enduring rounds of chemotherapy, managing complications like a bleeding adrenal gland, and recently overcoming shingles. Yet despite these immense challenges, her spirit remains resilient. Every day, she fights on, proving that she is a beacon of strength and courage.
Michelle dedicated her life to making others feel better and sacrificed so much for us, her two sons. Now it's our turn to help her. We need your help to give her the fighting chance she so richly deserves. While she has insisted on keeping the financial ask at the very bottom end of what she needs, every bit that is donated will go towards a whole slew of treatments that have been proven to cure others of their stage 4 cancers. She is picking and choosing the treatments that she believes will be the most effective (and that she has been able to afford currently,) but the full cost of the intensive treatment regimen that has saved friends' lives in the past is $35,000 per month.
Every donation, big or small, makes a significant difference. We understand that times are hard for everyone, so even if you can't contribute financially, we ask that you please share our campaign with your friends, family, and social networks.
We believe in the power of community, in the generosity of strangers, and in the unyielding strength of our mom. We believe that with your help, we can give her the fighting chance she needs and deserves.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support. For a detailed personal account of what my mom has been going through and what she's doing to get better, keep reading.

What a long strange trip it’s been: And hopefully with your help it’s not over
yet…
It’s been about 5 years since I was diagnosed with colon cancer; since then, I’ve
had a section of my colon removed; half my liver and gallbladder removed; and
pumps installed and removed to administer chemo in various forms to various
organs. Currently the cancer is in my lungs and right adrenal. Surgery is off the
table and the only thing doctors in the US have to offer is chemo, which I’ve been
off of now for over 6 months. Since chemo is not a cure and exacts a terrible toll,
I’ve been searching elsewhere for a cure.

I hope that I have found it. The cost for the initial treatment is about $13,000.
(Normally it’s $35,000) Even though this is a significant savings I’m not really
making much these days and this is not the only treatment I’m doing. There is also the option to add additional treatments with proven efficacy, but they cost more.
A whole slew of supplements amounts to about $600 a month. I’m juicing and eating only those
foods that fight the cancer and nourish my currently somewhat frail body. (I had a
bleeding adrenal and shingles about 3 weeks ago and have lost over 20 lbs in
about 2 month) I’m exploring various meditation practices, therapy, acupuncture;
and spiritual healing. I’ve been using frequency medicine (This has cost so far
roughly $2000. – If I buy a machine equivalent to a Rife machine, it’s around
$18,000.) I’m looking into a machine that concentrates oxygen while you exercise
wearing it. (I was doing the hyperbaric treatments but they are over $150 each
visit and to be effective it requires sometimes daily treatments; so I am exploring
more sustainable ways to oxygenate my blood.) I have done the Vitamin C
infusions; ozone therapy and continue to use an infrared sauna. I know there are
many more treatments I have tried or at least explored; have encountered more
“snake oil” than I’d like to admit, but I’m determined to stick around for as long as
I can. I want to meet and spoil my grandchildren; I have a long bucket list and
many, many, projects I want to complete; I have knowledge and experience I’d
like to pass on. And oh, I want to share so much more love and laughter with my
friends and family. I can’t do this without you.

Every donation, however small, expands my heart more than you could possibly
know. I am so very grateful for your presence in my life, your support, love and
prayers. It all counts!
My son launched the last Go Fund Me and wrote the appeal but I thought you should hear directly from me. I’m learning to ask for help and
am so very grateful for every bit I get.
All my very best in love and gratitude, Michelle L. Basche’
