My name is Abdel Naser Musllam, and I'm 32 years old. I studied Business Administration, and my wife, Amal Al-Haj, is 28 and a talented software engineer. Together, we are the proud parents of two beautiful children: Rolan, who is six years old, and Omar, who is two years old. Like any parents, we want nothing more than to give our children a life full of joy, safety, and opportunity. But living in Gaza has made that dream feel impossible.

Before the recent crises, Amal and I both worked at a private company. We worked hard to build a stable life for our family, full of hope for the future. But in an instant, everything we had worked for was taken away. We lost our home, our jobs, and the life we had built together.

Now, we live each day in fear, watching as the trauma takes its toll on our children. Rolan, our eldest, often cries and tells us, “Mama, Baba, I want to live my childhood. I want to play without fear of bombings.” She asks us, “When will this end?” And we don’t have an answer. Omar is too young to express his fear in words, but we see it in his eyes and his constant need for comfort.

We are now on the verge of having a chance to leave Gaza, with the border crossing set to open soon. This is a critical opportunity for us to escape and give our children the peaceful life they deserve. We want to provide them with psychological care and allow them to experience a normal childhood, one without the constant shadow of fear and trauma.
