Help Us Give Roselyn Timon a Dignified Farewell
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved Roselyn Nakeyi Timon. She was a source of unwavering love, resilience, and kindness in our lives, and her passing has left us grappling with profound sorrow. We are reaching out to you today to request your support as we plan a fitting farewell to honor her memory.
Roselyn’s Story:
Roselyn was born and raised in the district of Kajo Keji to Monika Pita Andrew and the late Andrew Korsuk Jinga. Although she was not the oldest, she took on the role of older sister and was a pillar of strength for the entire family. Like many in our community, she was displaced by war and spent 8 years in a refugee camp in Kenya. Although it was very difficult, Roselyn was still able to remain resilient, starting her own business, creating lifelong bonds, and giving birth to her first child, Kofi (Annan Timon). Despite the hardships, she remained hopeful and was able to come to the United States as a refugee with her son and her niece, Namuru Guwo whom she raised as her daughter.
Here, she was able to reunite with her husband Budot Timon, her parents Andrew Jinga and Monika Pita Andrew, her sister Florence Andrew, and gave birth to her other beautiful children Ann Guwo Timon (Annie) and Joshua Timon.
She has faced unimaginable hardships and challenges during her journey. Throughout it all, she maintained appreciation and love for her family around the world, her community in Nashville and Richmond, and her faith. She was committed to fighting for opportunities to create a better future for her children. She is a testament to the strength of the human spirit.
Roselyn is survived by her mother (Monica Pita), husband (Budot Timon), children (Namuru Guwo, Kofi Annan Timon, Ann Guwo Timon (Annie), Joshua Timon), and grandchildren (Isaiah Kumi, Navella Pita, Josiah Korsuk)
