In Loving Memory of Sheila Kapua Calaona

It is with deep sorrow that we share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our family patriarch, Sheila Calaona.

After falling gravely ill, Mom was EVAC from Metlakatla to Ketchikan. She was receiving care at PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center for the cancer that came back for the third time. On Saturday, September 7, 2024 our Lord called her to heaven while she slept.

She was our Mom, Tutu, and Friend. We will miss her cheerful presence she exuded everywhere she went. If you had the privilege of meeting her, she treated you like family.

Not only is our family grieving an unimaginable loss, but we are in need of assistance from our friends and community. Your donation will help greatly with funeral expenses and costs associated with her celebration of life. We want to give Mom the beautiful memorial she deserves.

My family and I would like to extend our deepest gratitude for all of your support, love, and kindness during this difficult time. It is a testament to the power of our community.
