Help us Give Thomas Grusel Jr. a Proper Farewell

My name is Melissa and I’m writing this with a heavy heart as we mourn the loss of my beloved cousin, Thomas Grusel Jr.

Tommy had a rough life! At the age of 10, he was hit by a car and was in a coma for 6 months. He woke up from that coma and shocked us all! 

He didn’t have the same life as before. Tommy had a trach, he was in a wheelchair and was paralyzed on one side of his body. He pulled that trach out eventually and they closed it up. He was a fighter! He lived an awesome life despite all he’s been through. He would use his good arm to wheel himself around. He enjoyed going to baseball games, wrestling shows, concerts and loved every moment. Oh, and his coffee!!!

He was living in a nursing home and my Aunt received a call that he’s going to the hospital because he was having trouble breathing. This is the second time my Aunt Theresa has had to hear her son is in the hospital. They said he had a bad infection called Necrotic bowel sepsis. His body was shutting down fast at only 40 years young!!! He was supposed to be here longer.

He tragically passed away 08/14/2024, born 06/26/1984. This unexpected loss has left us all in shock and struggling to come to terms with his absence.

I am reaching out to our family, friends and community to help cover the funeral and memorial expenses, which are estimated to be $5,000.00. We want to give Thomas Grusel Jr. the memorial he deserves and allow us to say our final goodbyes. Or as I say, see you later!

We have not secured a funeral home as the expenses are what we are battling.

Once we have a funeral date it will be updated!
