Help us help Amanda through her cancer journey

When Amanda was born, we all knew instantly that she was special. As the “baby” of the family, she stole our hearts and was a source of joy to everyone around her. She grew up strong and determined, and has always loved unconditionally. Amanda knew that caring for people was her passion, so she became a nurse. As our mom battled Alzheimer’s disease she was there to help provide her care. One month after our mom passed away, and 5 months pregnant with her daughter, Amanda and her husband Dan found out that he had ALS. She cared for him throughout his sickness until he passed away, leaving her with two small children to raise by herself. Now she is fighting her own battle, having been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, soft tissue sarcoma. Due to the location of the tumor, doctor appointments, and surgery, she will be unable to work during this time. Amanda has always been a fighter, independent and self-sufficient, and she finds it difficult to ask for help. As a family, we are asking you to help us help her, so she can take time to concentrate on beating this and still be able to provide for her beautiful children.
