A DOG'S LIFE RESCUE -Tameside and surrounding area

My name is Angela and Im part of a very small group who help animals in Tameside and often surrounding areas too.

Over the past 12 years we have helped animals in Tameside find new homes. A big part of the process is ensuring they are healthy and kept comfortable in foster homes while waiting for their new best friend.

Adoption fees cover a small portion of the cost but this still leaves a large bill for each animal. Listed below are the veterinary costs alone for the past year. We also pay for food, dog beds, equipment such as harness and lead, and any suplements the dog needs. Our transporters and homecheckers are largely volunteers and donate their time freely but do occasionally need to ask for help with fuel.

With rising costs and an increasing number of animals needing homes we have reached a point where we need assistance if we are to continue to help animals in our care. We know times are tough for everyone but if you can donate even a small amount towards the cost of veterinary care we can continue to help animals.

10 years ago we named our rescue A Dogs Life Rescue although we also post animals on our own private pages too.

We have dogs in foster which have been long term and needed medical treatments. We aim to rehome those dogs as soon as a good and loving home becomes available. Currently we have quite a few dogs that require vaccinations, flea and worm treatment and neutering too. Helping with our fund raiser will help us to pay the vet bills for these dogs. We have never included the extras we pay for in our display of invoices e.g. dog/cat food, fuel which is a big expenditure due to the miles we cover, accessories such as leads, collars, harnesses etc.

All these plus the vet bills which are not covered by the fundraiser come out of our own pocket. We obvously cannot sustain this kind of expenditure without your help.
