Help Us Help Jaime Quijano Recover

We have created this fund on behalf of Jaime Quijano and the Quijano family. Mr. Q, as he is affectionately called by his students at St. John’s Lutheran Church and School, is a dedicated teacher, youth leader and worship pastor at EC Community Church; a husband and father who has also served the community as an EMT. He has touched the lives of so many, and now it’s our turn to help the Quijano’s.
Mr. Q is awaiting a date from his doctor to schedule a triple bypass. That is a heavy load to carry all by itself. Unfortunately, he has lost his teaching position at St. John’s, as they were forced to close their doors after 70 years due to low enrollment and complications with COVID-19. Additionally, Mr. Q has diabetes that he has dealt with for years and recently was diagnosed with failing kidney function. Thankfully with his doctor’s help and treatments, the kidney issue has improved. Most recently the triple bypass was put on hold because the pre-op labs found a rare blood clotting disorder that they have spent almost a month and a half trying to diagnose.
We are asking you to make a donation to assist the Quijano Family at this extremelystressful time. Once the date has been set for the triple bypass it will take many weeks of healing. In the meantime, he will have no income. Disability and unemployment are running out, all while he has mounting medical bills, a family to provide for, and COBRA health insurance payments to try to keep up with. As anyone might imagine, all of this is creating an extremely difficult and uncertain situation, that we can help make better. If Mr. Q was writing this he would first and foremost ask for your prayers. In addition to your prayers, we are asking to please make a financial donation to ease the Quijano family get through this difficult time, and to help relieve some of the pressure Mr. Q is experiencing, until surgery and through recovery.
