Hi, my name is Christian Martinez, and I’m the founder of One Dollar for Change, a nonprofit based in Yuma, Arizona. I’m a Marine veteran, husband, and father of three, with a mission to provide fast, simple, and meaningful help to people facing sudden emergencies like food insecurity, utility shutoffs, or housing instability.

Alongside me are our dedicated directors:

– Alejandra Martinez, our Secretary, who helps manage communications and organization.

– Michael Wren, who provides guidance and oversight as part of our board.

Together, we believe that real change doesn’t always come from massive donations—it starts with small acts of kindness, even just $1 at a time.

Why are we raising funds?

We’re in the final stages of launching One Dollar for Change. While waiting on our official nonprofit approval, we’re preparing everything to hit the ground running and immediately support our first local cases—including helping a fellow veteran avoid homelessness by covering basic needs like food and utilities.

Your donations will directly help us cover:

• Emergency groceries and gas cards

• Utility bill assistance

• Rent support for those facing eviction

• Critical startup costs (like our website, legal filings, and community outreach materials)

Every dollar raised will go straight into helping people in crisis right here in our community while keeping our overhead low and our hearts fully in the mission.
