Help Us Help Them Get To Safety

Hi, my name is Jenny and my husband Mike and I are currently living in Barbados.

We arrived three months ago to find two sweet pups living in the lot next to us.

Shawty, a loyal and snuggly Jack Russel female was abandoned by her owner when she became pregnant. She has given birth and weaned 7 pups on her own, and we believe she is about 5 years old.

Busta, a belly rub loving little goof ball is the gentlest little potcake we have ever met. Unfortunately he has been abused since birth and escaped the constant lashings.

Together they met and stayed in the lot near a home that has three dogs they play with. Most recently three large fighting dogs have moved across the street and Busta and Shawty are no longer safe. In fact Busta just returned after being missing for three days with large gashes on his chest and marks all over his snout and mouth.

Both of them have been through so much.

We have loved and feed them every day and promised them that we would do whatever we could to find them forever loving homes back in Canada, where the culture is less of a "dogs as security only" policy.

We started this page to help cover the many costs associated with bringing them to Canada.

If you feel like helping us bring them to safety, we would be forever grateful. Any remaining donations (if any) will be used to help spay and neuter other dogs to stop this problem from becoming worse.

INCREASE IN FUNDRAISING GOAL INFORMATION

Last Tuesday Busta was attacked and sustained injuries that caused him to run away and hide. We saw him for a brief moment on Saturday and then he was gone. Tuesday afternoon we spotted him and he was still in extreme pain. He asked for help.

So we drove him to the vet where he will undergo sedation and a vet stay so they can assess his injuries. The new total is to cover vet costs for this sweet boy.
