Help Us Honor Anita Baker's Legacy

Dear Friends and Family,

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved sister, Anita Baker. Anita was a loving mother to Aubrey, a kind daughter to Angela, a caring granddaughter to Bervely, a devoted friend to many, and a selfless soul who always put others before herself. As the eldest sister, she was a second mother to all of us, leading the pack fearlessly.

Her kindness and generosity knew no bounds—so much so that the day of her passing was just like any other day, as it was filled with helping others. Every purchase she made within the last week benefitted another person, a true testament to her selfless nature.

As I muster the confidence to write this tribute of my sister, I hold back tears of sorrow for her passing and the circumstances of death she endured but, I am thankful and appreciative of the incredible woman she was and will always be known for to many. Anita came into the world as a Black Queen and left us as the epitome of a selfless, supportive, loving, fun, and beautiful Goddess. Anita's character will forever be held close and a treasure we keep safe in our hearts.

As we navigate this difficult time, the weight of planning two funerals simultaneously has become overwhelming. Any donations would be a tremendous help in easing the financial burden on our family during this challenging period. Your support means the world to us. Thank you for your love, prayers, and generosity. All extra proceeds will be allocated to her daughter Aubrey, split into a CD and an education savings account.
