Help Us Honor Becky Martinez with a Beautiful Funeral

Honoring Becky Martinez (MzRaiderz)

Our dearest mother passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Aug 3rd, 2024. She did not wake up from her sleep. If you knew our mother, you knew what a big heart she had! You knew how much she loved my brother and I so deeply. Her worst nightmare was to pass away and leave us alone, especially at a young age. Our mom was a single mother to my older brother Michael, 24, and myself, 20. Throughout our childhood up to now, she was the only one we had, besides our grandparents.
Our grandmother fell ill, which meant our mom had to be her caretaker up until our grandmother passed away in November 2023. Being that our mom was our grandmother’s caretaker, our mom had since then been unemployed. Unfortunately now with our mother’s sudden and unexpected death, my brother and I have to find a way to cover the costs of our mother’s funeral expenses.
My brother and I were going to start school after taking a year break from college. I had just started my first job two days before our mother passed away. I have had to take time off to arrange funeral services and raise money for our mother. This is something my brother and I never expected to do at this young age. If you can find it in your heart to please help my brother and I out with any donation amount you can, we greatly appreciate it. Any donation amount is never too small.
Words do not describe how hard it is for us to have had to create this Gofundme account but we want to give our mother a beautiful funeral service and be able to spend some time with her and not have to choose the option to cremate our mother to save funeral costs. My brother Michael and I want to thank each and every one of you for your prayers, condolences, and donations!
People who knew our mom, knew she was so generous and kind. No matter how little money she had, being a single mother, she was always willing and ready to help anyone in need, whether it was a family member, close friend, or even a stranger. She always donated when someone had a loss because she knew how far a blessing went and how hard it is to struggle through expenses. Our mother was always trying to help out others. During our birthdays and holidays, even though she didn’t have much, she always made it possible to give my brother and I, and even our grandparents and close friends and family, a little gift to show her love!
We hope our dear mother can get the same blessings back, even though she never asked for anything in return from anyone! God bless you all and thank you all so much for your prayers. We really need them. Our mother’s funeral services, time and place is to be determined once we have the amount we need to proceed further. Mommy, we miss you so deeply and even though we do not understand why God needed you more than my brother and I, we promise to make you proud and never forget you!
Thank you so much! Michael and Aaliyah Martinez
