Help Us Honor Charles Whiteman With the Service He Deserves

Donation protected
On December 6, 2024, our family suffered a great loss. Our father, Charles Whiteman, unexpectedly passed away. Our dad was someone who was known for working at Red's Diner or for his coaching and umpiring. Charles, or Chuckles, had been involved with Little League baseball, softball, and tee ball for so many years, which in total covered many decades. He was able to instill in many players the fundamentals needed to succeed in the game. Chuckles had also been involved with umpiring for many levels of baseball and softball, starting at tee ball and more recently slow pitch softball. He umpired many games and volunteered to umpire at many benefit tournaments. He was involved both with umpiring and behind the scenes, never asking for recognition. He did what he did for the love of the game and the players that were involved. This year, he was able to hit his goal of retiring from umpiring with 60 years under his belt.

While we knew what impact he had on our life, we have been blown away and overwhelmed with the number of people on whom he had an impact.

We as a family wanted to do this GoFundMe so we can give our father, Charles Whiteman, the services that he deserved.

Any funds raised beyond our goal will be donated in his memory to the Mifflin County Youth Baseball League.
